This book certainly makes the reader reconcider was is possible. It opens doors for the impossible in the quantum realm. It suggests that the mind is capable of manipulating anything: temperature, pH, even balistics.
As a tip from someone who has read a decent amount of Dekker's work; I would advise beginning with the Books of History series, starting with Chosen. It gives a good intro to Dekker's novel world and answers questions about references found in all of his other series, Furthermore, Saint is the second book in the Paradise Trilogy: Showdown, Saint, then Sinner. Going in order is HIGHLY suggested.
For those who have already read much of Dekker's work; this is, in my humble opinion, one his best pieces. It references multiple points in his other series, and also answers many questions.
